We're extremely excited to announce that we'll be a headline sponsor for UniCS Hackathon's StudentHack 2025 Hackathon at The University of Manchester this weekend!

Supporting Local Tech Talent

As a local start-up, we're thrilled about this opportunity to collaborate with the bright minds at UoM and support the next generation of developers. Manchester has a vibrant tech ecosystem, and we believe investing in student talent is crucial for continuing this growth.

StudentHack has established itself as one of the premier student hackathons in the region, bringing together hundreds of passionate coders, designers, and innovators for a weekend of creativity and problem-solving.

Our Web-Scraping Challenge

At StudentHack 2025, we'll be hosting our own special challenge that will teach participants valuable web-scraping principles. This hands-on experience will give students practical skills that are increasingly in-demand across the tech industry.

Web scraping is a fundamental technique that enables businesses to gather and analyze data from across the internet. Our challenge, ScrapeMeQuickly, will help students learn how to:

  • Design efficient scraping workflows
  • Extract structured data from websites
  • Handle common challenges like pagination and dynamic content

All while competing to see which team can scrape as much data as possible, in the shortest period, whilst battling common roadblocks like fingerprinting and rate-limiting.

Participants in our challenge will have the chance to win a variety of exciting tech-related prizes! Beyond the material rewards, this is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills to potential employers and make valuable industry connections.

See you there!

If you're attending StudentHack 2025, we'd love for you to stop by our booth! Our team of engineers will be available throughout the event to answer questions, provide guidance on the challenge, and share insights about careers in tech and data.
