Ping Proxies Q3 2025: Smartpath® AI, Platform Upgrades & More

With Q3 coming to an end, we’re all excited to share our progress before heading into Q4. Our core focus during these months was to improve overall efficiency and performance while ensuring transparency.
Whatever we were offering already does that, but we felt more could be done, so we have come up with exciting updates. Our ultimate goal has always been to keep our users at the forefront, learn what they need, and deliver beforehand.
Enhanced KYC & Free Trial
We want our proxy network to remain safe, compliant, and built for genuine use. That’s why we partnered with iDenfy to roll out automated KYC at scale. By verifying identities, we reduce misuse and create a more ethical network for everyone.
We noticed that many who wish to try proxies for the first time don’t have a secure way. As a bonus, verified customers also unlock a free residential bandwidth trial to explore the network firsthand. Additionally, we plan to add additional perks, such as ISP UDP support and more relaxed blocklists, in the coming months.

AI-Powered Routing
Who doesn’t love savings? We all do. To provide our users with better savings, we first examined how they utilize the proxies. What we found surprised us: A huge portion of residential traffic didn’t even need residential IPs. Extra requests from browsers and tools were silently consuming bandwidth.
To help our users make the most of their residential bandwidth, we have developed Smartpath. It is an AI-powered optimization tool that automatically decides which requests need residential IPs and which don’t. No setup is needed, and no additional costs are involved.
Non-essential traffic is routed through datacenter IPs at no cost, while the requests that matter still flow through residential IPs. The result? Up to 40% savings on bandwidth, with no hit to performance or trust.
Transparency & Control
Targeting options shouldn’t be done with internal queries or trial-and-error testing. We noticed our users were experiencing performance issues as they were selecting the wrong pools. That is why we’ve introduced Live Pool Indicators along with state and ZIP code targeting (also available through API).
There’s no more guessing work, as they are live on the residential dashboard, with no configuration required. Simply select your desired parameters, and you will have transparent, real-time live node availability.

Many proxy users face the same problem: proxies get configured and put to work, only for issues to appear later. That trial-and-error approach is tiring and frustrating, so we built a proxy tester that helps you catch issues before they happen.
While this has made it easier for many, developers and pro users have had another issue. They wanted a way to test proxies at scale, not just one at a time, and integrate those results directly into their workflows.
So we rolled out an industry-first comprehensive Public Proxy Testing API. It can be used to validate proxies against any website, confirm geolocation accuracy, and measure real-world latency from multiple vantage points worldwide. Also, it supports exporting results and running tests inside pipelines.

Performance & Protocols
HTTP/1.1 has been the standard for years, but we want our users on protocols that are faster, safer, and ready for the future. That’s why we’ve introduced support for HTTPS, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3 (Beta).
Modern sites load hundreds of resources, and HTTP/1.1 simply can’t keep up. In our tests, HTTP/2 made pages load nearly four times faster compared to HTTP/1.1. This means less waiting and more stability, even under heavy workloads.
In addition to protocol upgrades, we rolled out Session TTLs (Time to Live) for residential proxies. Earlier, holding an IP for a fixed time meant building a rotation logic or relying on tools that didn’t always behave as expected.
We wanted to cut down the hassle. Now, session duration can be defined directly in the proxy username, ranging from minutes to days, and our network handles rotation automatically.
Finally, we’ve made broad improvements to the overall performance of our residential network. Combined with protocol upgrades and session control, we are seeing faster, more stable, and predictable connections.
Proxyway has reviewed us and our residential and ISP proxies ranked #1 for speeds to real-world targets, we placed #2 for ISP download speeds, and #3 globally for residential response times, right alongside providers like Oxylabs and Decodo.
Compliance & Expansion
We’ve taken steps this quarter to make our residential network safer and more enterprise-ready. HIPAA-compliant residential users are now supported, giving healthcare-related businesses the confidence to run critical workloads responsibly.
At the same time, we’ve expanded our global reach with new backconnect regions in Singapore and Australia and a major ISP proxy network expansion across Europe and Asia.
To keep performance consistent, the new regions run in Digital Realty and Equinix datacenters. We’ve also partnered with regional ISPs to deliver authentic IPs, faster connections, and stable sessions you can rely on.
What’s Coming in Q4?
Q2 was all about building for speed, visibility, and control. Q3 focused on smart savings, transparency, and future-ready performance. What about Q4? We’re bringing exciting updates that take this foundation even further.
We’re developing an updated dashboard designed not just for managing proxies, but also for learning and exploring. Additionally, new ISP proxy locations will soon be added to provide more options and coverage, while continuing to roll out residential performance improvements across the board.
