ixBrowser Proxy Configuration: Easy Proxy Setup and Management

ixBrowser is an anti-detection browser that helps users control multiple online accounts at the same time. By creating unique digital fingerprints for browsing sessions, it hides the real information about your device.
As a reliable free option, empowering users to control their fingerprint profiles, it also offers role control for team management and task automation.
Most importantly, the combo of seamless ixBrowser proxy integration and unlimited profile control make it useful for sensitive data tasks: web scraping, digital marketing and social media management. Let’s take a closer look.
Setting Up ixBrowser with Proxies
With an ixBrowser proxy setup, public data collection is much more reliable. Most targeted websites will collect your device and browser data, as well as network identity information.
To counteract this, ixBrowser can create unique digital fingerprints for each profile. The best part of this browser is unlimited scalability – if you want to collect more data, create more profiles, and get more proxies!
Here is how to set up a ixBrowser proxy connection:
1. Open the Profile List and select Create Profile.
2. The browser should notify you about the lack of prior IP resources if they were not created. For this guide, we will be using our Ping Proxies, so click Continue to Create.

3. In the Platform Account Configuration tab, select the default option – blank page (unless you want to automate account connections on popular online platforms). Click Next Step and proceed to ixBrowser proxy setup.

4. In the Proxy Configuration tab, enter your proxy details. In this guide, we will use one of our German datacenter proxies. After entering authentication details, we can see that the Proxy Detection tool indicates a successful connection.

5. Check the Fingerprint Configuration section for more control over your digital identity settings, or click Confirm.
6. Open your created browser profile. It will launch a homepage showing your connection details and display indicators for successful connections to popular websites.

ixBrowser supports various proxy types, including Ping Proxies. The creation of a browser profile automatically adds a static proxy resource in your ixBrowser proxy resource tab. However, it is worth mentioning that the Residential Proxy tab is reserved for purchases through the platform.
Using Ping Proxies Residential Proxies with ixBrowser
To use our residential bandwidth for IxBrowser proxy connections. In your Ping Proxies dashboard, go into the Residential section and generate your dynamic IPs. For continuity, let’s use German proxies once again.

Now, go back to the ixBrowser, and select Static Proxy (since it is your own proxy, it must be added manually this way). Click the “+ Add” button and fill in the details of one of your generated proxy exit nodes.

Alternatively, you can add the entire batch of proxy exit nodes. Click Batch Operations > Add in Batches. After a quick test, we’ve found that you can copy proxy strings straight from the generator.
However, if you want to use a SOCKS5 proxy, don't forget to add a protocol prefix. In the end, we have a batch import of our 5 proxy exit nodes, but with a twist – the last one declares a SOCKS5 proxy.

However, according to testing done by Ping Proxies, the SOCKS5 protocol has to be used for the residential proxy type. Otherwise, IP testing tools will keep showing your original location.
ixBrowser Proxy Configuration and Management
As we already learned, ixBrowser proxy configuration allows you to add your proxies in batches. You can bind the proxy resource to a profile, or randomize the assignment before opening the browser window. To make sure everything works, don’t forget that you can always test your proxies with the “Proxy Detection” button.
Binding the same proxy servers and exit nodes to the same profiles is good for social media management tasks, where fingerprint spoofing also helps avoid detection. For information collection and similar tasks that may result in IP blocking, randomizing your address before opening the profile is always a smart move.
Conclusion
ixBrowser is a powerful anti-detect browser that offers robust encryption, ensuring data security while helping users bypass network restrictions. With comfortable privacy integrations, it is a great free option that allows 100 unique sessions in a day, which is more than enough for most use cases.
Using ixBrowser proxy connections for anonymity is a reliable solution for privacy-conscious users who want comfortable management for no cost.
